Provincial Parks

I have visited the Cape Breton Highlands many times over the years as a tourist. The trails, sites, sounds, wildlife and waterfall's are all must sees. If you fancy sighting some whales you can catch a number of Whale Watch Stops along the way around the trail. The official site is listed below.

Another must for the Historical adventurer would be the Foretress of Lousisburg. You can easily get to the area from Sydney fairly easily. The roads where in good shape the last time we visited the park. Once there you park your car and take a bus to the site after you enter the customer service area. The official site is listed below.

Visitor Bulletin

The tides around many parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick can be very deceptive, and you can be caught in a very difficult position, quickly. Always check for high and low tides before visiting any coastal areas.
